Lista niektórych zmian jakie ujrzymy w wersji 0.85:

    - poprawiona Macedonia

    - poprawione nacje celtyckie

    - wzbogacone i dopieszczone tarcze dla nacji hellenistycznych dzięki współpracy z twórcami moda Roma Surrectum II

    - poprawki w balansie bitewnym.

    - Tweaked certain units that were too powerful in comparison to others (albeit always in respect of the difference in power of certain factions in confront to others; this will always remain in DEI)

    Tekstu oryginalny:

[spoiler:pxamp33b]I want to bring you some news on the planned changes for 0.85:

As you probably know the new DLC is at the doorsteps so the first thing we will do (before 0.85) is to produce a "compatibility patch" for it, so that DEI works with the new content. We will focus on the patch solely on making DEI to start so that users can continue playing the main campaign. The real and full compatible version with the DLC (and its mini-campaign) will come in 0.85.

Apart the full compatibility with the "Hannibal at the Gates" DLC, 0.85 will have a revamp of Macedon, an overhaul of the Celtic tribes (as we did with the Iberian tribes) and an host of balance improvements both for the battle and campaign aspects.

A list of some of the changes you will find in 0.85:

    - Revamp of Macedon

    - Overhaul of the Celtic Tribes

    - Shield Extravaganza! The most beautiful shields for the Hellenic factions coming directly from RS2 (great thanks to the authors of that wonderful mod for their support)

    - Overhauled battle balance for less spikes in power of certain units. Especially rebalanced the power of swords vs. spears and the role of short spear vs. long spear units. Hoplites will be much easier to win if attacked from the flank/rear (as Pikemen), for example.

    - Overhauled missile balance so that all missile units have a specific role. Bowmen will be able to fire above obstacles and lines of men (I finally found a way to do this: the reason why many missile units seems weak is not because they are really weak, it is only because they stop firing if a friendly unit obstacle the line of sight to the target; with this change they will instead fire above the units and continue firing hence making arrows much better than they are now), so they will be the missile unit that slowly but surely weaken enemy units from behind the ranks. Slingers will instead be more powerful at attacking from a clear line of sight and especially at angles: with their better accuracy and more armor penetration they will do much more damage, but they must be positioned correctly to get the most out of them. Then there are the javelinmen that will be the specialized front line: very powerful close-up but with low ammunition.

    - Overhauled weapons' initiative vs deadliness for more balance. Deadliness will be more effective against initiative and so in general sword units will be much stronger than same tier spear ones.

    - Rebalanced elite units so they are not so highly above main troops as they are now. They will be still much stronger but for different motives. Less for durability and more for strength. This means that if flanked or attacked from the rear also an elite unit will deplete in short time.

    - Cavalry will be easier to disengage and will be more powerful during a charge, especially on the rear. Also pike units and hoplite units will cause much less damage to calvary if hit from the rear.

    - Overhauled agents chance of success and power of their effects so that they are more balanced overall. As of now agents have too high success rate (especially on multiple attempts) and they can cause too much havok with too little effort.

    - Unique stance effects depending on the factions. Every faction will have specific bonuses/drawbacks on using stances, specific to the type of faction.

    - Full introduction of the awesome changes of Litharion to AI recruitment quality

    - (Maybe, it depends on CA mostly) Historical messages for the reforms explaining in full what the reform that just happened does.

    - Removed numbers from shields of Legionaries (thanks to JFC for his invaluable help on this point; he saved us a lot of work). I still don't understand why they were there to begin with but whatever...

    - Tweaked certain units that were too powerful in comparison to others (albeit always in respect of the difference in power of certain factions in confront to others; this will always remain in DEI)

These are just some of the changes that comes to my mind. There are many more and so 0.85 will be a big update. After this, then, there will be the full AOR in 0.9 with the introduction of a real AOR system tied to culture requirements for the main units plus an overhaul of the mercenaries (plus much probably full revamp of Rome auxilia).

We are finally reaching the first real release of the mod and we come closer and closer to build up the basis of DEI in full. After 0.9 we will polish and balance the mod for its first release and 0.85 is a first, tiny, first part of the process.

I hope you will enjoy our future releases and always continue to post feedback because it is only thanks to your help that DEI has become[/spoiler:pxamp33b]
