Przeklejam z TWC:
Initial Setup:
First and foremost, there are some new changes that are rather nice. In the initial screen, upon opening up the campaign button you can immediately see the new set-up; the buttons "Grand Campaign" and "Caesar In Gaul".
In the Custom Battle menu, there's lots of new, added goodies. You have the added factions (Nervii, Boii and Galatia), their new respective units (even for Arverni), and you also have some new general abilities for the factions present in CiG.
Once entering CiG, you're greeted by a new intro video - one that I like even better than the R2 video. Very well done, great voicing and an incredible atmosphere make to a good start to the game.
Campaign Gameplay:
First off, the faction I started with was the Suebi (my favorite faction from R2 vanilla). Their initial difficulty is hard, and since I only wanted to test it out for 20-50 turns I started on normal difficulty.
First thing I notice is that the campaign map is stunning. The new trees are excellently done. I didn't have a problem with the Grand Campaign's map, but this one is much, much more pleasing to the eye. You start off in Autumn (didn't check what month) and the new seasons look very good. The weather system is pretty awesome, and surprisingly I've seen no more lag (in fact, even less) than I had on the Grand campaign map! I think my favorite parts were that on occasion, there would be 'unseasonable conditions' in certain areas. For example, come my first early Spring, my settlement in Helvetti had unseasonable conditions... I took a look and snow covered the province. The execution of the seasons was done extremely well!
My initial settlements were all underdeveloped, and the minor settlement I ruled in the lands of the Sequani was not very happy with their new rulers. With only 5000 (I think?) to start, it took a bit of time to get my settlements on the way to prosperity.
Once I sent my only agent (a spy) to the Sequani, whom I was at war with, an advisor dialogue opened - with a description straight out of De Bello Gallico! A very nice touch and 'twas a bit helpful to my immersion.
Within 2-5 turns, I had come into contact with Rome. They took the settlement just south of mine and I can honestly say I was a little intimidated. Our relations were in the red and I think the only thing stopping them from knocking on my door was the fact they were at war with a faction next to me. A little snooping revealed that settlement had iron, and I was rather quick to take that settlement before the Romans could.
Even though taking that settlement was rather quick and easy, the Sequani were still an issue. Their armies outnumbered mine and had more powerful warriors, so it was another 10 turns before I even thought of attacking them. They sat an army on our mutual borders, essentially making sure I didn't come knocking. Eventually another faction declared war on me, so I'm currently facing a war on two fronts.
Battle Gameplay:
Since I'm not using any mods, battles were still rather fast. The battle against the Turingi(?) was 1000 Suebi vs. 700 Celts. Roughly 1/3 of my army was skirmishers and archers, while most of their army was tribesmen and stronger warriors. The battle lasted around 7:30.
Much to my surprise, seasons are fully implemented on battle maps. In autumn, trees that should be changing colors/losing leaves actually ARE.
Here I encountered my one and only bug; all the warriors had bright purple clothing! Although it was rather ugly it was kind of funny I think it may have been because it was a night battle, but I'm not sure. I have to test this more.
I think my only complaints/dislikes are that I feel the map should be a bit further extended... Having a Roman faction without Rome or the Suebi without Germania Proper is a bit immersion killing to me. Secondly the new tech is done a bit strange, with politics being added in and unfortunately, it seems like they're a copy-paste of the other factions (Rome and such), seeing as Germans didn't really worship Apollo That in itself are minor grievances to me, and as soon as TTT is updated to the new release, I'll be enjoying this game a lot! Overall, good job CA. Seems as if you've learned from your previous mistakes.

Śmierć to Twoje przeznaczenie.
KABANOS to taka kiełbaska i zespół muzyczny, oba polecam.
Podstawowa kampania, multiplayer i bitwy działają poprawnie.
