Zanosi sie jednak na dosc ostre trzepanie banderowskich tylkow w okolicach Marinovki:
"Wczoraj(17-07-14) we wczesnych godzinach rannych głównodowodzący wojsk Ługańskiej Republiki Ludowej, Igor Striełkow wydał rozkaz ataku na broniące się we wsi Marinowka leżącej około 10 km na północ od ukraińsko-rosyjskiej granicy ukraińskie zgrupowanie wojskowe.Założeniem taktycznym tego ataku miało być po pierwsze rozbicie na mniejsze części broniącego się w okrążeniu dużego zgrupowania ukraińskich oddziałów wojskowych, a po drugie w następnej kolejności rozpoczęcie likwidaci każdego z nich z osobna.
Atak przeprowadzono od strony miejscowości Stepanówka leżącej na północny-zachód od Marinowki. Jednocześnie rozpoczęto ostrzał znajdujacego się na prawym skrzydle zgrupowania ukraińskiego batalionu "Azow" ostrzeliwując jego pozycje ze wzgórza Saur-Mogiła mającego na celu jego neutralizację.
Pierwsza próba- przedpołudniowa- ataku nie powodła się. Wśród sił samoobrony były duże straty, około 19 rannych żołnierzy. Zarządzono odwrót po czym po przegrupowaniu sił ponowiono w godzinach wieczornych atak z użyciem broni pancernej. Ten atak zakończył się sukcesem.
Ukraińskcy żołnierze, którzy przeżyli ten atak, opuścili stanowiska obronne i rozpierzchli się po okolicy pozostawiając na polu bitwy ciężki sprzęt bojowy, zabitych i rannych kolegów. Znajdowano też porzuconą broń osobistą, ekwipunek i mundury.
Tym sposobem zamknięte w kotle ukraińskie oddziały zostały podzielone na trzy części: broniące się niedobitki z bitwy o Marinowkę, z prawego skrzydła ostrzeliwany ze wzgórza Saur-Mogiła batalion "Azow" i z lewego skrzydła broniące się oddziały 72 brygady zmechanizowanej z Białej Cerkwi, batalion 79 zmechanizowanej brygady powietrzno-desantowej "Szachtersk", oddział gwardii narodowej i 24 brygady zmechanizowanej z Jaworowa, które zajmują pozycje obronne pomiędzy miejscowością Dakow od zachodu i Birjukowem od wschodu. Dalej na północny-wschód zajmują pozycje obronne pododdziały 72 brygady zmechanizowanej przemieszczające się obecnie rozdzielone na mniejsze grupy w trójkącie wyznaczonym przez miejscowości Krasnodon-Swierdłowsk-Izwarino.
Obecnie będzie próba rozcięcia linii oporu pomiędzy 72 brygadą a 24 i 79 brygadą, tym bardziej, że sily samoobrony zajęły leżące na styku tych zgrupowań wojsk ukraińskich strategiczne wzgórza, z których można prowadzić bardzo precyzyjny ostrzał ich pozycji obronnych.
Odcięci od zaopatrzenia i pomocy medycznej ranni żołnierze 72 brygady zmechanizowanej są przekazywani stronie rosyjskiej w celu udzielenia im pomocy. W tym celu doszło wczoraj wieczorem do walki na przejściu granicznym "Marinowka" pomiędzy ukraińską strażą graniczną a usiłującymi ewakuować swoich rannych na stronę rosyjską żołnierzy z 72 brygady zmechanizowanej. Podczas tych starć zginęło dwóch funkcjonariuszy ukraińskiej służby granicznej."
